Question and Answer Call
We had a great Question and Answer call on Saturday (yesterday). There were over 200 people on the call and I answered questions for 2 1/2 hours. Best participation we ever had.
And it wasn’t just me answering questions and giving help. Several distributors jumped in and shared what is working for them and gave great advice.
Marketing was the topic — both online and offline.
We talked about Web 2.0 and how to use it to generate traffic. How you can hire people to do the Web 2.0 work if you want to.
We talked about using magnetic signs, t-shirts and caps to generate traffic to websites and advertise your business. A good resource for magnetic signs, business cards, t-shirts and caps, www.vistaprint.com, was given by one of the participants.
Home parties were discussed and how it was necessary to have multiple follow ups with people to get them to attend. Not just one invitation or flyer.
We talked about using scarcity when selling to groups. If you give self defense talks or home parties, always have less products than people. For instance, if you are conducting a home party and there are 10 people there, only take 8 of each of the products. And when it comes time to sell the products, always let them know you don’t have enough for everyone. Scarcity will increase your sales.
When selling face to face, whether its a home party or to individuals, its always best to have the product with you rather than trying to sell from the catalog. These products are high impulse. If you get them in front of people you will sell them.
I’m very proud of the distributors who took the time to not only be on the call, but to participate with questions and good advice.
If you were on the call, and you have something positive to say about the call, please email it to me and I will share it with everyone. Sometimes you have to try just as hard to sell something that’s free as something that is paid. So, if you can email your comments to mike@safetytechnology.com, I will use your words to try and encourage more people to be on the next call.
I have these question and answer calls every month. Try your best to be on the next one. You being there will make a difference.

On September 1st I mailed off an order for the “Tired Of My Day Job” Starter Package…
I immediately began pre-selling a few of the items, and collecting payments. (By the way, when you purchase Avon, Tupperware, Fuller Brush, Amway, Mary Kay, Shaklee, et cetera…you normally PAY in advance, just like when you order something through the mail! So, don’t be afraid to collect money up front.)
I went into the Safety Technology computer on Sept. 3rd…
When I got my package, I immediately placed another order, and also requested 25 catalogs. I also found out about the September Conference Call and was disappointed that I had to work on Saturday and couldn’t make it.
Then my day job…coincidentally…got tired of me, and let me go!
I was so HAPPY because I then knew I’d make the conference call, and was already making a few face-to-face sales EVERY SINGLE DAY!
I placed a third order, putting most of the cash back into more products. Got a big, black, leather duffle bag to carry around my pepper sprays and so forth. I choose not to own a car, and take this 45 pound bag everywhere I walk daily…bank, post office, grocery store, et cetera…
I got on the conference call and it was SUPERFANTASTIC! That’s my signature word…one word/no hyphen…you can borrow it if you want to…
I placed my fourth order for September and built up my $160 cost of a starter package into about $700 worth of products (retail value), and I make at least a few face-to-face CASH sales every single day!!!
I got business cards made for my new business! Became a credit card merchant of Visa/MasterCard/Discover/American Express, and I also bought some binders with one inch rings, a big box of page protectors, and cut a few catalogs into separate pages to transform into more permanent form in the binders. I often will “loan” a paper catalog to someone, for a few days, then go back to get it, along with an order. If someone thinks they can get me some orders, for which I’ll reward them with some free products, I loan them one of the binders…Some people never see the catalog…too many choices for them to get confused with, I let them buy right from my “store in the bag” on impulse!
I figure this isn’t Rocket Science, so I don’t want to complicate it! I see people I know, acquaintances, and even strangers, and simply say; “I think you may NEED one of these. A pepper spray, just in case, God Forbid, someone ever tries to grab your purse (or wallet if it’s a man) because with this bad economy, more and more people are getting desperate and crime is on the rise. You know, more purse and wallet snatchings. This one is ONLY twenty dollars and this one is ONLY ten! Which do you want?”
I often have a person say, “Wow, I always wanted one of those, but never knew where to go buy one. I’ll take one for me, and one for my daughter!” Zip/Zop $20 (in the case of 2 key chains) which is a PROFIT of nearly $14…you do THAT just 4 times a day, and you’ll make OVER $1,500 profit for the month!!!
Did I mention that I AM HAPPY that my day job GOT RID OF ME? I don’t NEED them anymore! I have MY OWN business now! Also, I wasn’t taking home $1,500 a month, either!
So, if you’ve been a dealer for a few months, or longer, and you’re NOT making at least a few cash sales every day…SHAME ON YOU! It’s NOT complicated, just get busy…It’s FUN, EASY, and REWARDING!
So, next time Mike messages you about a conference call, I hope that you’ll get on it! Good Luck to all of you, and God Bless!
Did I mention I am HAPPY that “My Day Job Got Tired Of Me?”
“Peace, Love, And Pepper Sprays (just in case) To All…”

I recently hooked up with Safety Technology and published my website a week ago. I made one sale! no-one knows we exist. I am thankful I found Michael for a drop shipper as he really goes the distance to help neophytes like me to find the resources to learn the business. Hopefully learning from him and others I will be able, after a month or so to report more than one sale.
Thanks Michael,
