I have my pepper spray always near me because I always go home late. It is the cheapest self-defense thing I know and it is very easy to use. I rather be safe than sorry.

I love my pepper spray because I can use it when people at the grocery store parking lot come asking for money. I don’t mind helping people but it’s frightening when they come to you in the dark parking lot. I never know what they will do. The other day I was coming out of a restaurant and a man approached me. Certain jobs put one in a more vulnerable position such as a real estate agent, people who work late night or early morning hours. Real estate agents have been the victims of horrendous crimes because they are often in an empty house with a strangers/. Women working late have to walk to their cars in the dark and are subject to attack. This is why I believe you should have some form of personal protection and pepper spray in one of the many forms it comes in is an easy and inexpensive way to even up the odds. I always say be, safe, not sorry.
