One Gmail Account = Many Email Addresses

<< Google Adwords Tips  Build Your List With An Ethical Bribe >>

Here’s a little tip for you. If you sell on the Internet, hopefully you’ve discovered the value of using Web 2.0 sites, such as Squidoo, WetPaint and Hubpages. If you have created pages on these sites, you know that each time you set up an account…and you want to set up many, you need to use a different email address. It’s a hassle trying to keep track of all these email addresses.

Get a free Gmail email account at http://mail.google.com. You only need one. Here’s what you do.

Let’s say your Gmail account is michaelg@gmail.com. If you want to set up a page on Squidoo for ‘stun guns’. You can use your Gmail email address and make it unique by adding to it like this — michaelg+stunguns@gmail.com.

Just add the + sign and a phrase to identify where you used it or what you used the email address for. This email will look unique but everything will go to your main account. So, you only need to set up one Gmail account. Hope this will be useful to you.

Hi Mike,

I just wanted to take a moment and wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a healthy, prosperous and Happy New Year!

I never heard of such a thing as adding a keyword “+” ny gnail acct. which I have one for each of my self defense product sites. I am going to send a test email right now and test your advice. Thanks, it’s been a good 7 years and looking forward to an even better one in 2009!

Warmest Regards,
Chuck & Family

Nice, that’s a clever idea rather than using hundreds of email aliases which can get messy when you have to move mail servers – yeah I’m talking from experience!

Excellent idea, and thank you for the info!!

You mentioned this before, but I forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder.
