I happen to be an older person and I totally agree that crooks seek out people who are and/or look weak or vulnerable. So it’s really important to have some kind of self defense that you are comfortable with.

I am unable to buy a stun gun where I live in Lansing, Michigan. It is a shame that so many carry guns illegally and others have to get a carry permit to protect themselves. Although many carry guns illegally, those that have a permit can carry in most situaions. A disadvantage is the cost of the handgun.

For those that feel the need to protect themselves, we can use papper spray, electronic whistles and personal alarms. They are available at http://www.youbsafe.com.

Criminals will go for the elderly and weak and that is why it is so important for the elderly to carry some type of personal security device so they can defend themselves or signal for help. Good article of why it is so important.
