Back in 1987, Nancy was working for a car parking (valet) company in LA area called the Vallettes. They mostly worked private parties. She got to meet a lot of celebrities and drive their cars.

The company was hired to work a movie called The Boost with James Woods and Sean Young. There a short scene in the movie where Sean Young and James Wood drive up to a party at some guy’s house.

Try to take a moment this weekend to remember the purpose of this holiday — to honor those who’ve given their lives for this country.

Wars are created by governments but fought by ordinary citizens. These warriors go where they’re told to go and fight when they’re told to fight. Some come home, some do not. Either way, they did their duty. Nothing more could be asked of any man or woman than they did their duty.

Whether we should be in Afghanistan or Iraq is a debate that should be taken up with your elected officials. If you don’t like the war, make sure your government knows about it. But, do not include the airmen, sailors and soldiers who are just doing their duty in your denouncement of the war.

For all those who’ve lost someone to a war, I salute you and them. I know we all look forward to the day when greed, religious fanaticism and pride are not reasons to send our young men and women to war. But, until that day comes, we will stand united in our support for all those who risk their lives and limbs just doing their duty.

There has been a national upswing in the amount of individuals and families who are actively searching for reliable – and safer – methods for personal safety and home defense.  It is true that many people choose to own a gun, but this is not the answer for every home.

What about the people who are unable or unwilling to own a handgun?  There are options, thankfully, and one excellent alternative home security method is the use of stun guns.

The popularity of these safety devices comes from a variety of reasons. First off, stun guns are easy to carry.  These self-defense tools can vary in size from small implements that are about the size of a woman’s lip-gloss container (perfect for concealed carry), to a range of bigger stun guns that are so effective that they are even used by law enforcement and the military.

The Need for Safer Home Defense and Security

Stun guns are an increasingly available option for people who are interested in enhanced security, but who also want to avoid some of the dangers and potential legal entanglements that could come with a firearm.  These days, in fact, stun guns are generally recognized as a more effective and safe option than many others around.

Another name for stun guns is “electroshock weapons,” due to the fact that these types of devices utilize an electric charge to overcome the normal muscle control of an attacker, and render him or her temporarily incapacitated.  This technology uses a low current, high voltage charge of electricity that quickly paralyzes the target and also causes marked pain and discomfort.

It does not require a lengthy application of the shock for a stun gun to be effective.  A shock of only a few seconds is usually fully incapacitating, allowing an escape to safety for the user.  This is an important feature, indeed!  In modern society, the sobering fact is that most people know someone victimized by criminal activity, causing this issue of home and personal security to become a serious one indeed.

Why More People Turn to Electroshock Weapons as a Viable Business

Because of this fact, the sales stock inclusion of non-lethal self-defense tools – such as stun guns – is the type of business move being selected by professionals across a wide group of industries.

Stun guns may now be found in firearms shops because many gun owners prefer the option of owning a non-lethal self-defense tool in addition to their weapon.  In addition to this more obvious venue, however, stun guns can also be seen in shops belonging to locksmiths, pawnshops, and other retailers.

Brick and mortar retailers also rely on on-line companies offering stun guns, as well as other forms of non-lethal self-defense products.  In fact, almost any business that deals with a customer base will be interested in finding reliable security measures – for both people and their property.

Most business owners are in an ideal position to use stun guns and non-lethal self-defense tools as an opportunity to increase sales.  The nice side of this is that the added business comes with the knowledge that the retailer is actively assisting with the effort to keep people safe!
