Animal Repellers to NY
Based on the advice from Mace, I previously decided not to drop ship animal repellents (dog repellent and bear repellent sprays) to New York. They said there was no law against it except for the interpretation New York would probably give it. Mace did not feel like getting into it with New York.
New York is the bastion of government control over the lives of its citizens. Pepper spray is not illegal in New York, but they want to control who sells it.
I’m going to change my stance on this and will probably reap the wrath of the state of New York eventually. The animal repellents are FDA approved by the Federal Government. Citizens have the right to own them. So, we will drop ship animal repellents to New York until I’m forced to stop.

I applaud your initiative in going ahead and shipping to NY.
I do not mean to offend those that choose to live in that state but I drove a semi for about 25 years and NY was the one state that I tried not to have to go to or through.
Any state that does not allow their citizens to defend themselves against animals or assault, is a place that I do not need to be.

I also applaud you for your courage. I am affiliated with Michael and feel he has the best interests of the people at heart.

Although I believe that as Americans, we need to follow the law I also feel that we should be able to purchase what we need-or want- for personal non-lethal protection without Big Brother lurching over shoulders. I applaud you Michael for daring to step forward and face the Orwelian Thought Police..
Bear Defense
As a New Yorker who loves the woods I’m happy to know I can still get bear defense spray. There’s no better protection from bears.
Orion Self Defense
Seems like New Yorkers would need pepper sprays just living in tight quarters where crime is more prevalent. They should have the same opportunity to defend themselves as anyone else.

Is there really a big difference between animal repellent and pepper spray?
Defense against animal attacks
With all the dogs and possible dog fights in such a largely populated state, using an animal repellent to stop an attack and keep someone from getting bit should be mandatory, not discouraged.

Wouldnt be caught camping without my Bear Spray.
Humane Dog Repellent
A couple of years ago, two of my dogs, both neutered males, got into a fight while we were out hiking in the woods. It was totally unexpected and I was unprepared. This was going to be a fight to the death, I could tell. If I had had some dog repellent spray with me, I would have used it to break up the fight. I eventually got them separated, but it was difficult and one of them ended up at the vet hospital. I have since carried dog repellent with me whenever we’re out in the woods, even after placing one of the dogs in a new loving home. Better safe than sorry–you never know when a strange dog might approach. Where Can I Buy Canine Repellent?
Animal Repellers
Here in Michigan we can only carry a select few Pepper Sprays and no stun guns or no tasers. On the other hand I have a CPL and can carry a handgun. I dont understand the logic but as long as I can carry a gun or Pepper Spray at least I have something. My kids carry Pepper Spray as well.

Pepper Sprays
Who write these law anyways? It doesn’t make sense that you can carry a firearm but yet you can’t carry a stun gun or taser. You are also restricted on the type of pepper sprays you can carry. What are they thinking?

Yesterday, while walking home from the library this large grey and black German Sheppard came flying across the street to where I was. I’m not afraid of dogs, but this could have been a frieghtening event if I had been.
I just kept walking while he followed me barking. I keep looking forward and walking. Finally after about mid way the block he turned around and went the other way. I say thank you God with a sigh of relief. Canine repellent would have came in handy!!!!

Ultimately, the sole purpose of government is to better the quality of life of the citizens it serves… Should government stifle the ability of the people to protect themselves with non-lethal means, they become part of the problem, as they violate the social covenant. I personally use and sell pepper spray. wbpersonalsecurityproducts.com
