Selling Stun Guns, Pepper Sprays, Tasers at Home Parties

Many people want to know how to get started doing home parties. Most think there should be some formal way of doing this. But, its not necessary.

The hardest part of this business is getting the parties set up. Once you are at the party, it’s easy. The products will sell themselves. I know you’ve heard this before, but with these products it’s true.

You must take product, enough product for the amount of people attending. Don’t go to a home party thinking you can take a demo and get people to order out of the catalog. These are high impulse products. If you get them in front of people, you will sell them, but you need to let them go home with what they purchased.

So, you are at the party with your products spread out before you. Now you introduce the products and if you can, demonstrate how they work. If its a stun gun, pass it around and let everyone fire it. People will be twitching and jumping and laughing but totally engaged. You will sell them!

At the party, just be yourself. Don’t worry about a formal presentation. Tell them about the products and let them ask questions. Just talk to them like you would your best friend. You don’t need to try to sell them or have a sales pitch.

The only sales technique I would use would be scarcity. If you know you are going to a party where 10 people are expected, I would take only 8 of each product…less on the more expensive products like the Tasers or baby monitor. This will create a atmosphere of scarcity. You show the stun gun then announce to the 10 people there you only brought 8 with you. Trust me, this works very well.

The best way to start, is to get a friend to host it and invite everyone you can think of. Then during the party ask if anyone would like to host one. Have a nice gift that you give the host or hostess. It doesn’t have to be related to the products you sell. It can be a gift certificate for dinner for two at a nice restaurant or four movie passes. Referrals are a good way to build your party business.

A Easter Thought

Easter is here very early this year. Religion is always a difficult subject when you have distributors of all religions. So, I try not to voice my opinion about it. I don’t know if you are a Christian and I don’t know if you honor the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. However, I believe there is a vibrational change in the world when these momentous and important religious dates are celebrated. And I just don’t mean Now, I’m going to do what I just said I don’t do — give my opinion on a religious matter. I do so with no intent of offending anyone. This is just my opinion.

I do not believe Jesus would want you to passively stand by and be wrongly injured by someone. Or, for you to stand by and not defend someone being wrongly injured.

The strength and courage of Jesus is not in question. He submitted to humiliation and crucifixion when, with a glance, he could have destroyed not just his persecutors, but the whole world.

We have the example of the money changers at the temple and Jesus chasing them out with a whip. We also have his opinion about carrying arms to protect yourself.

At the last supper, Luke 22: 36-38 –Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take [it], and likewise [his] scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.

And they said, Lord, behold, here [are] two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

Also, later that evening when he was about to be arrested, Luke 22: 49-51 –When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?

And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

The point is that the disciples of Jesus were armed with his blessing. And, when Simon Peter cut off the ear of the servant of the high priest, he did what was right for him to do. He defended Jesus and Jesus did not rebuke him for doing so.

Your life is precious and it deserves defending. No one has the right to hurt you, but you do have the right to defend yourself and the ones you love.

Sometimes I forget why I got into this business. I am in this business because I strongly believe that people have the right…no, not just the right… but the duty to protect themselves and the ones they love.

I believe you are in this business for the same reason. Maybe you haven’t thought about it much lately. Maybe now is a good time to
